1. Acceptance
cvlivecareer is a site for building resumes and downloading them as a PDF. It is intended for people aged 16 or over. If you use the service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the site. Paying for the download also confirms that you have read and accepted this document.
2. What the service does
You fill in your details, choose a template and a color, see a preview in the browser and, if you want, pay a one-time amount to download an A4 PDF, with no watermark and no account.
The site is not a recruitment agency, does not send your resume to vacancies, and does not guarantee interviews, hiring, or results in applicant tracking systems (ATS). Templates are presentation tools: the hiring decision still belongs to the employer.
4. Your content
What you write in the resume is yours. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, currency, and legality of the information: name, contacts, experience, education, photo, and any other data.
Do not use the site for false, offensive, or discriminatory content, content that violates third-party rights, or data about another person without permission. The summary generator only rearranges what you already entered; it does not check whether the text is true.
5. Templates and brand
The cvlivecareer name, the look of the site, the resume templates, and the code belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may use the chosen template in your own PDF, for personal job applications.
You may not copy the templates to sell them, republish the site, scrape the code, or pretend the service is yours.
6. Payment
Building, switching templates, and viewing the preview is free. The PDF download is charged as a one-time payment, at the amount shown on the site at the time of purchase. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.
The charge is made by the partner payment provider. Card data, if any, stays with that partner, not with us. File release depends on payment confirmation. Receipts and invoices, when they exist, follow the provider’s rules and applicable law.
7. Refunds
The PDF is a digital good delivered immediately. After the file is generated or downloaded, there is generally no refund, except when consumer law requires it or when payment was charged without delivering the file.
If you were charged and the download did not unlock, contact us through the contact page. Margin, paper, or print issues in your browser do not entitle you to a refund: in the print window, use “Save as PDF”, A4, and “None” for margins when that is the download path.
8. Data leaks — what we are not responsible for
The resume lives in your browser, on your computer or phone. We do not keep a permanent copy of what you typed. Therefore, we are not responsible for data leaked, lost, copied, or disclosed outside our control.
This includes, among other situations:
- a device, browser account, or PDF file accessed by someone else;
- a shared computer, internet café, workplace, or borrowed device;
- viruses, scams, browser extensions, cloud backups, or sync you turned on;
- screenshots, screen recordings, forwarding the PDF, or posting it on a job site;
- failure, intrusion, or leaks in third-party services (payment, email, analytics, hosting);
- losing the text by clearing the browser, changing devices, or using incognito mode.
When you request the PDF, the content may travel temporarily only to draw the file. We do not promise absolute security on the internet. After the PDF reaches your device, control — and the risk of disclosure — become yours.
This clause does not remove duties that Brazilian law may impose on data we actually process. Collection details are in the Privacy policy.
9. Limitation of liability
The service is offered “as is”. We do not guarantee that the site will always be up, that the PDF will open in every reader, or that the layout will be identical in every browser and printer.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, a missed job, or indirect, moral, or consequential damage arising from use of the site, interruption, errors in text you wrote, or a recruiter’s decision.
Consumer-protection rights, where they apply, remain in force.
10. Prohibited use
- trying to break, overload, or exploit the site;
- using bots to generate resumes in bulk without permission;
- bypassing payment or faking proof of purchase;
- sending malware, spam, or unlawful content;
- using the service in a way that harms other people or the operation of the site.
11. Availability and changes
We may change templates, prices, payment methods, and these rules at any time. The current version is the one published on this page, with the update date at the top.
Continued use after a change means you accepted the new version. If the service is discontinued, a resume that exists only in the browser may become inaccessible — download the PDF while the download is available.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The forum is the consumer user’s domicile when the law so requires, and otherwise the court of the district where the party responsible for the service is established.
